Native Android Developer (Kotlin)

NOTE: This job opening is NOT for freshers. However, that does not mean you need a lot of experience. What we are seeking is - ABILITY. If you are a sharp, capable developer but have little experience on paper, you can definitely apply!

JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are URGENTLY seeking a mid-level Android Developer to work on our product's (OTT platform) TV aaplications.

Your choice of language is important to us as we are strictly looking for Kotlin developers.

So the ideal candidate must be a master of their preferred language & be able to work with, help and communicate effectively with the rest of the team.

In short, we are looking for a rare mix of intelligence, passion, integrity, domain knowledge, & coding agility.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

You will play a major role in developing new TV apps for our platform (Android OS, Tizen OS, Amazon Firestick, etc.)
Migrating/redevelopment of our current hybrid apps into native apps.
Developing interesting new features like a dedicated music player, gamification!
Build pixel-perfect, smooth UIs.
Full integration of user-facing elements with server-side logic.
Working a LOT on the Exo player.
Integration with third-party services like video streaming, payments, analytics, etc.Perform ongoing optimization of the apps for maximum speed and scalability.
Collaborating with your colleagues to strengthen user/data security and authentication.

IDEAL CANDIDATE:

2-3+ years of app development experience, more the better.
At least 1-2+ years Kotlin experience.
Good to have: Experience of project management tools & version control (we use Gitlab).
A good eye & keen understanding of UI/UX models and design.
Experience with app deployment on the Play Store.
Experience in CI/CD, GraphQL a big plus.
Good to have: B.E. in Computer Science or Graduate/PG degree in Computer Science (this is optional, we are more interested in your abilities).
